Please be sure to register early to avoid class cancellation due to low enrollment or program closure due to maximum enrollment being met. All Recreation programs are held at the Jessie Brock Community Center, 310 North Dillard Street, unless otherwise noted.
AARP FOUNDATION TAX- AIDE
AARP is offering free tax help to low-to-moderate income taxpayers, especially those 60 and older. Appointments available at https://Tinyurl.com/tannerhall

AI (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) LEARNING SERIES: WORK, LIFE, AND FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE
This 5-week series introduces adults to practical, everyday uses of AI across professional, personal, and entrepreneurial and financial investment domains — no tech background required. You will explore how general-purpose AI tools like Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude (Comet) can support smarter work, better decision-making, and creative problem-solving. Each class session will focus on a different area of life, with realistic examples and thoughtful discussion. You’ll learn what these tools can do, where they fall short, and how to use them wisely. This course is for adults of all ages.

BABYSITTING
This course will be based for students aged 10+ that have an interest in babysitting. It will cover general rules and guidelines, coupled with babysitting learning concepts. Students will learn how to properly change and dispose of diapers, serve age-appropriate foods, as well as develop an understanding of contact lists and emergency situations. In this program, students will also be taught skills in First Aid, child safety, and health & wellness.

BALLET BASICS FOR ADULTS
A basic level traditional ballet class for teens and adults with no previous experience or those looking to rediscover ballet after a long break. Class concentrates on proper body mechanics and barre work.

COOKIE DECORATING CLASS
Discover the art of cookie decorating with Food Network finalist and professional pastry chef, Bev Hansen. This 2.5 hour, hands-on workshop is designed for all skill levels, ages 10 and up. Perfect for aspiring bakers and creative minds, this experience blends sweet creativity with professional techniques. In this cookie decorating class, you’ll:
- Explore the best piping and flooding methods for flawless finishes,
- Learn texture and design tricks from a pro, and,
- Practice techniques to transform your cookies into edible masterpieces.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your skills or indulge your creative side, you’ll leave with beautifully decorated cookies to wow your family and friends, along with the know-how to re-create these edible gifts at home. Get ready for a fun and informative class where smiles are guaranteed! (Don’t forget to bring your favorite apron!)

CITIZENS CPR PROGRAM
Interested in learning how to take a hands on approach towards saving lives? The City of Winter Garden Fire Rescue Department is offering a free 90 minute citizens CPR program to the community. The course will cover;
- Hands only Adult and Child CPR
- Proper AED use
- Adult and Child Choking
Upon completion, participants will earn a certificate acknowledging their successful demonstration and learned concepts detailed in the program. Advance registration is required, space is limited to 12 participants. To register, please visit https://enroll.wgplay.com.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT
This unique program introduces basic dance ballet technique and movement through dance, games and song. Class focus is on gross motor skills, left/right, body awareness, ballet positions, and beginner ballet technique and language. Advanced registration required.

FANCY CUPCAKE DECORATING CLASS
Unleash your inner cupcake artist in this hands-on decorating class led by Food Network finalist and professional pastry chef, Bev Hansen. Perfect for any skill level, ages 10 and up, this 2.5 hour workshop blends professional decorating techniques with creative flair. In this fancy cupcake decorating class, you’ll:
- Learn essential piping and design skills,
- Explore pro tips for striking decorations, and
- Practice transforming a simple cupcake into an edible masterpiece to wow your family and friends!

GENENEALOGY- WORKSHOP
Are you curious about your family history? Bring your documents, questions, or just yourself. Join June Kelly to get help organizing and starting your family tree, learn tips with online tools, and share discoveries with fellow researchers. There be will time for hands-on work, one-on-one help, and sharing of ideas.
