The mission of the Orange County Community Action Division is to enhance the quality of life, promoting self-sufficiency, and eliminating the causes and consequences of poverty by mobilizing and directing socioeconomic resources, collaboration and partnership, and by providing high-quality, easily accessible programs and services. The Division provides the following programs:

Crisis Assistance Program
The Orange County Crisis Assistance Program helps pay rent, mortgage, or utilities in an emergency, if qualified.

Family Self-Sufficiency Program
The Family Self-Sufficiency Program provides vocational training, post-secondary education, and state certification. (Additional assistance includes budgeting and job placement). 

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (Energy Bill Assistance)
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program provides financial energy cost assistance to low-income households.

Senior Climate Efficiency Program
The Senior Climate Efficiency Program (SCEP) serves to provide low-income seniors (60+) in Orange County with air conditioner replacement, service, or system upgrades. As well as completing health and safety improvements in clients’ homes, the program will also preserve the senior housing stock in Orange County. 

Weatherization Assistance Program
The Weatherization Assistance Program assists low-Income households by Improving the energy efficiency of the home.             

SELF Home Improvement Financing Program
Orange County is proud to partner with SELF (Solar & Energy Loan Fund), a nonprofit community lending partner providing favorable financing for assorted home improvements that can help save money, improve hurricane resistance, and enhance comfort and livability.

The Maxey Community Center is governed under the Orange County Community Action Division that provide resources in many areas for the elderly, children, and the community events. Programs include assisting with vocational training, computer lab, resources for utility bills, elderly exercise classes, and meals-on-wheel. Maxey Community is also a community rental facility.

Orange County Medical Clinic
The Orange County Medical Clinic is a community-based, primary and secondary healthcare provider setting serving medically uninsured, low-income residents of Orange County, Florida. Services are at no cost to the patients.
